You can install the PayPal Plug-In on your PC Windows-based system. The plug-in is compatible with Windows operating systems (Windows 2000, XP, or Vista) and Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers (IE 6, 7, FF 2, 3) . Mac users do not need to install the plug-in and will only have access to the Secure Cards feature. Please keep in mind that at the moment, PayPal Plug-In is only available to current users.
Use the following steps to install the plug-in on a Windows-based computer. Depending on your system, there may be slight variations in the set up. Temporarily turning off pop-up blocking software will help ensure you successfully install the plug-in.
- Log in to your PayPal account or sign up now.
- Click the Products & Services tab.
- On your Account Overview, see Account Tools box in lower right-hand corner.
- Click PayPal Plug-In.
- Scroll to the end of the page and click Download it Now.
A successful install will place the PayPal Plug-In icon (a capital P) on your Windows-based browser bar. If the P logo does not appear in your browser, you may need to enable it in the toolbar menu.
- Internet Explorer users: Go to View > Toolbars and look for a check mark next to PayPal Plug-In.
- Firefox users: Go to Tools > Add-Ons Tools and ensure the plug-in is enabled.
